SD-22: Kopp BEATS Traylor
An upset has happened–Mike Kopp has beaten Kiki Traylor in the Republican Primary for Senate District 22.
At least, that’s what the Rocky Mountain News page results say..
Does Kopp win illustrate a “purge” in the Colorado GOP? Traylor was on the recieving end of 527 attacks from Grover Norquist’s Club for Growth. Traylor billed herself as a “moderate”, something the Club for Growth isn’t fond of supporting.
Or maybe the irrelevance of Governor Owens, who had endorsed Traylor in this race. Tom Tancredo issued his support behind Kopp, saying Traylor was endoreds by “enemies of conservatives”.
