Final Count: Two Votes.
In the end, after counting provisional ballots and a mandatory recount, the Democratic Party Primary for the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder’s race came down to just two votes in a 3,353 to 3,351 vote race.
Rick Palacio, who lost the Democratic primary for Pueblo County clerk by only two votes, said Friday he will support the primary winner, Gilbert “Bo” Ortiz, in the general election.
Every vote counts. Ortiz is favored in the general election against Republican Marla Reichert.
