We’re Not Fat

We’re the least obese state in the nation, according to a new study out today from Trust for America’s Health.

Nationwide, obesity rates have gone up in 31 states over the past year.

Mississippi residents have the biggest problem with weight, and Alabama’s come in second. (It’s nice to be on the other end of the spectrum from Alabama on a national ranking about something bad. Earlier this month, Colorado was second only to Alabama in the rate of foreclosure increases within the state.)Colorado gets mention in the report for its new law encouraging healthy food in schools, as I wrote about in this interview with House Majority Leader Alice Madden and this post on changes in the school lunch program.
