HD 36 candidate Ryden triples opponent in spendable cash

Su Ryden, the Democratic candidate for state House District 36, has more than three times the cash on hand that her Republican opponent, Kathy Green, has, according to the latest filings with the Secretary of State’s office.

Ryden, who’s hoping to replace Rep. Morgan Carroll, D-Aurora, had $22,352 in her campaign coffers Tuesday, while Green, a former Aurora city councilwoman, had $7,193.

Carroll is giving up her seat in the House to run for State Senate District 29.
